Ed (thesimmonsguy) has a deep knowledge on each Simmons model. He fixes and mods SDS7s all the time. He's meticulous and the only person I'd want to fix it. He also offers a lot of options and mods - his instagram shows all that stuff. He would send progress videos and it was so gratifying to see the repair/refurbishing process.

There are 8 available layers, each having it's own drum sound. The browser contains drum samples organized by category. Clicking on a sample will preview the drum loop. When you find one you like, click the "OK" button to apply that sample to the layer. Drag and drop layers using the slim gip to the left.
The grid is where you'll assign sounds. Clicking a grid block will cause a sample to play. Clicking a second time will turn the sample off. Click-hold and drag up/down on a block to adjust the volume for THAT block. Click-hold and drag left/right to enable and adjust mulitple blocks. Parts are used to create different patterns. Clicking on a dot will re-draw the layers and grid to show that "part". The Target icon is used to take everything you're currently working on and assign it to another part. Drag and drop the target icon onto a part dot to assign the current view to a new part.
Below the grid is the song timeline, where you can drag and drop the gray "part dots" into the timeline. You can also shuffle parts around in the timeline.
