May 23, 2020 · The Studio Backlot Tour was the flagship attraction when Hollywood Studios first opened. Back then, the park was named MGM Studios and the attraction was called Backstage Studio Tour. Much changed in those first few years, but the ride remained through 2014, when it closed for good. This was a very unique attraction, and today we're sharing a few key aspects that we miss and love!
