The only known facts are: Richard III was crowned in July 1483. In the white princess if is very heavily implied that perkin is Richard and that in executing him they bring down their own curse upon the Tudors regulating in the death of Arthur and (in her later books) Henry duke of Cornwall and Edward vi.
This plotline is based on the story of a real life man named Perkin Warbeck who appeared during the reign of Henry VII, Margaret Tudor's son. Warbeck claimed to be Richard, Duke of York, the younger son of King Edward IV and Queen Elizabeth. He was eventually captured and gave a possibly forced confession recanting his views.
