Sep 20, 2022 · Found the solution. Amazon OTP sends text messages using a short number code - anywhere from 3 to 6 digits. If you inadvertantly block one of those numbers, it blocks the OTP texts. I must have done so accidentally when I was blocking the scam emails from "Amazon Driver Chat". Found the solution.
- Turn On iMessage. If you're not receiving messages from iPhone, iPad, and Mac users, the iMessage toggle might be disabled in the Settings app. iMessage is Apple's proprietary message service, denoted by blue bubbles in a message window.
- Configure iMessage "Send & Receive" Settings. Your iPhone can receive and send messages via iMessage using multiple addresses. This includes your phone number, the email address registered to your Apple ID, any iCloud email addresses you have, and other email addresses you have verified with Apple.
- Check for Messages in Different Folders. Your iPhone can filter incoming messages by enabling the "Filter Unknown Senders" setting under Settings > Messages > Unknown & Spam.
- Restart Your iPhone. Sometimes, your iPhone might start acting up and encounter issues like the one you're experiencing due to a temporary software glitch.
Sep 16, 2024 · Make sure that your phone line is turned on. If you use multiple SIMs, make sure that the phone number you want to use is selected and turned on. In the Settings app, tap Apps. Tap Messages, then turn iMessage off and then back on. Tap Send & Receive. Tap the phone number that you want to use with Messages.
Feb 19, 2024 · Launch the Settings app on your iPhone. Scroll down and tap Messages. Tap Blocked Contacts, under the SMS/MMS section. Scroll through the list of blocked numbers (if there are any) and look for the phone number that you are not receiving SMS messages from. If you see it, swipe the number to the left and tap Unblock.
Jun 18, 2019 · There is no setting for SMS on the iPhone. I'm not aware of what an OTP is, so I cannot comment on that. You need to work with your carrier about SMS, or if you have a friend that has an Android device, see if you can get SMS from them. As far as the receipt question, that would have to be addressed with the bank as to how they do that.
Jan 9, 2021 · The issue does not appear with every SMS number, only a subset of them. This is the full list of steps taken to debug so far: Enabled send as SMS. Reboot. Reset network settings. Reset network settings with the SIM card removed. Force the phone into LTE mode to see if Verizon's 5G network is the problem.
