Oct 2, 2022 · 1) Set the "keep messages for" setting from Forever to 1 year - DONE & it automatically changed this setting on all my devices. 2) Go into manage iCloud storage settings and select "disable & delete". 3) Hopefully all messages will then be removed and take up zero storage in iCloud. Nov 8, 2021 · Cannot disable/delete Messages from iCloud I have been having issues sync'ing my iMessages via iCloud. I think the storage for messages is corrupted. But when I try to disable and delete via iCloud, I get "Unable to update iCloud settings at this time". I have tried on my Mac as well, but it doesn't do anything.
