May 24, 2023 · This is another method that is so simple it can't hurt to try: log out of iMessage, then log back in. On an iPhone or iPad: Open the Settings app and scroll down to Messages. Tap Send & Receive. From this menu, tap on your Apple ID at the bottom of the screen. In the dialog that pops up, tap Sign Out.
