Jesus went on to explain: “You do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men” (Mark 8:33).

Christ’s return seems delayed because God’s perspective on time is radically different than our perspective (3:8). “But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day” (3:8).
