At NXT Stand & Deliver, Waller failed the win the NXT North American Championship in a ladder match. Then, Waller and Sanga entered the tag team gauntlet match for the vacant NXT Tag Team Championships but were eliminated by the Creed Brothers.
It was brutal - the finishing sequence with Gargano smashing the chair around Waller's neck clean off was sick - and filled with good storytelling beats. Some of those nearfalls towards the end were crazy.
