This needs to stop, IMO. Put a disclaimer before the episode and explain that it’s a product of a less tolerant time or something. Make it a “teachable moment.”. Let it be its own example of why blackface is unacceptable.

If you haven't started watching yet on Hulu, it's 100% worth starting from Coco straight to Uncle Lucas. I'm excited for those of you who only know them from syndication. Hallmark and Lifetime butcher the episodes and often cut the best lines. We've owned the entire series on DVD since they were available.

That episode specifically went out of it's way to have a white character do black face. The entire wedding scene could have been done without it because there was no story to it. Again, even though Golden Girls did not do black face, they had a story behind why Blanche and Rose looked like they did.
