Follow these steps to manually re-install the appropriate driver. Step-by-step process: Open Device Manager. Select "Sound, Video and game controllers" tab. Click "Action". Click "Add legacy hardware".
Jul 9, 2021 · Turn OFF THX Spatial in Razer Synapse > Audio. Change default audio input in Windows sound options. Change for your Razer Audio Device. And try set THX Spatial as default in Razer Synapse again. I´m working now, when i get back for my home i´ll take the pictures and send here.
Yeh, I would assume that the name of the THX driver changes based on the headset that you're using. It's probably a specific adapted version for a specific headset. I think the method used on the synapse update was the same for all headsets that support THX. However, razer might have made a mistake when assigning these drivers to the headset.
Here is the issue though. The features in the $20 stand alone app were available in the Synapse app for Razer THX/7.1 headsets up until the recent update. Yes, the headsets are still THX/7.1 capable. They did not disable or remove THX/7.1 from the headsets. They are now selling the THX software as a stand alone app.
With the latest Razer Synapse 3 update, THX Spatial Audio engine is now embedded into the device driver with improved audio latency. Below are the following changes with the latest update: Stereo and THX Spatial Audio can now be switched in the Sound tab. User interface streamlined for simpler interactions.

Dec 9, 2022 · Click the Sound icon in Taskbar. Click the Speaker/Sound icon beside the Volume slider. Select Speaker (THX Special) as the Sound Output device. Next, launch the THX Spatial Audio app. In the Audio Tab, toggle the switch for THX Spatial Audio to turn it on. Click the Output Device drop-down, and select your sound output device (Speaker/Headphone).
