TL;DR Set Synapse THX Spatial as default in the "Synapse"->"YourHeadphones"->"Mixer" window, NOT in the Windows Sound window. The latter doesn't work for me.

I found a workaround to fix it. Go to Control Panel and uninstall "THX Spatial Audio USB <some-numbers-may-vary-by-your-device>". After that use the repair feature from razer synapse. you will have to restart your PC then everything should be fine, you should also check the APO status here.
