Dec 14, 2023 · The 7800 carts sit very tight and if they work, they work. Some 2600 carts like Enduro you have to move a bit in the slot when Loading fails. Sometimes after powering down even a working 2600 cart still in the slot needs a reseat. Well, I got used to it and don't care but if one is not a nerd he might get frustrated.
Nov 17, 2023 · The obvious way to update the device would be to connect it to your PC via USB and then to hold down the GAME RESET switch while turning on the 2600+. If I do that on Windows, I then hear a notification sound to indicate a device was connected. However it's listed as "Unknown Device". We'll have to wait for Atari/Plaion to release an updater app.
Dec 4, 2023 · Considering I've gotten a lot of games that were completely clean to work that couldn't load originally several times just from adjusting the way that I inserted them in the cart, there is more than just dirtiness going on or contact problems. there is definitely some wonkiness around the 2600 plus load cycle and certain games. especially games that do not have normal cartridges.

That’s weird, the only time it happened to me was on Android with gpsp_libretro core, it said exactly the same you mentioned, failed to open libretro core.

Nov 22, 2023 · The 2600+ outputs a 720P signal. Although it seems this isn't quite a standard 720P signal as my TV takes a second or two to lock in and show the output. Also, my capture device in the game room usually has no issue with 480P, 720P, and 1080P sources. But it does NOT like the 720P from the 2600+ and stays in pass through mode.
