When I realized that there were some interference artifacts on the screen I realized the high voltage and quickly turned it off. I set the voltage back to 9Vdc and started the 2600. The picture and all functionality are working fine except the sound. Sound is gone.

You can clean them with some isopropyl alcohol. You may have to press down the tabs on the cartridge to make the dust cover retract. Try multiple carts to be sure the cart isn't the problem. Unlike modern consoles, the game must be in BEFORE the console is turned on.

What I've done: Cleaned mainboard top and bottom with alcohol and toothbrush; Dismantled and cleaned all the switchs which now work great

Dec 5, 2016 · The Atari 2600 needs to go through an RF modulator before it will display any video or play any audio on your TV. You mentioned that you have an coaxial adapter. Some of those adapters actually do a good job separating the audio/video signals.
