5 days ago · With the start of the 2024-25 college basketball season inching closer, we're getting our first look at various polls and rankings. One site that released its initial rankings for the upcoming season is KenPom , and Villanova landed at a somewhat surprising spot.

- Gonzaga. Gonzaga has won 12 straight games by double-digits since losing to Alabama. The Zags' next game is Thursday against Pacific. -- 18-6.
- Kentucky. Kentucky is 7-4 in the first two quadrants with all four losses coming in Quadrant 1 games away from home. The Wildcats' next game is Tuesday at South Carolina.
- Arizona. Arizona is 7-2 in the first two quadrants with the losses coming at Tennessee and at UCLA. The Wildcats' next game is Thursday at Washington State.

- Arizona. Caleb Love finished with 17 points and four assists in Thursday's 74-68 win over Michigan State. The Wildcats' next game is Saturday against Colgate.
