There are videos on YouTube specifically for cats, including birds at a bird feeder, running mice, and (my cats' favorite) a string that moves across the screen. Many years ago, in the days of CRT TVs, we had a cat that loved to watch nature shows with animals.
I let my cats watch YouTube's cat TV when we are not home. We had to position the TV in such a way that the cats could not go behind it (to find the birds), jump over it etc. We also put a thick film of screen protector on since they definitely scratch or pounce at it sometimes.

Mine enjoys watching tv, but only at night. During the day, he prefers “live tv” and looks out windows all day. My TV is used predominantly at night and I use it pretty much to only play video games. His desire to sit directly in front of it is a bit of a problem.
