  1. Apr 11, 2021 · I assume this is down to purely logistic reasons, like the available plastic bag sizes, the characteristics of the different packaging pipelines (it is known that LEGO takes extreme care when packing the bags with pieces, including multiple weighings to ensure not a single part is missing - the precision required to check for the presence a small element could preclude the range necessary for ...

Batman: Arkham Asylum Breakout 10937 The Direct to Consumer number range, 10000-10399 has continued to be used consistently, although, increasingly, licensed ones are given numbers in the range assigned to the appropriate theme. Sets for young builders have all been lumped together in a single block of numbers, 10400-11899, with no separation betwe...

The Cave 21113 Other than the aforementioned Brickmaster, Architecture and Ideas number ranges, the 20xxx series has been used for a small number of short-lived phone game/physical brick mash-ups. Ideas sets began at 21100 but, as mentioned above, the number block was polluted with Minecraft sets in 2014 which resulted in subsequent ones being allo...

Andy Warhol's Marilyn Monroe 31197 Usage of this range has remained consistent, with polybags and Creator sets each occupying defined blocks. It's a mystery to me, though, why the new Art sets were given numbers in the Creator series range, starting at 31197. Why not start at 31200, or better still something completely different that doesn't requir...

Rainbow Unikitty 41775 Things start to get messy now. The 40xxx series is still used as originally intended, and 41xxx started off well, with Elves, Disney and other mini-doll sets joining Friends there in the lower half, and clearly defined usage in the upper half. But, for some reason, a batch of BrickHeadz have been assigned an odd number range,...

Nexus Force Rocket 55001 This is the second-least-used block of 10,000, with just seven numbers issued, one to a set that was never released. 1. 50000-50099Games 2. 51515Robot Inventor 3. 55000-55009LEGO Universe

Fire Emergency 60003 This is the most orderly number series, with the lower half being occupied solely by City sets, plus a few bits of furniture that were sold at LEGO.com in 2007 and given arbitrary numbers. The upper half is still used exclusively for product collections, oh, and this year's Toys R Us Bricktober sets... 1. 60000-60999City 2. 650...

Adventures with Mario 71360 Around 1800 sets have been given numbers in this series and largely they have been allocated in an orderly fashion. However, why do Super Mario sets begin at 71360 when there are tens of thousands of other numbers that could have been used? I suppose because it follows on from Dimensions, which was a similar product line...

Chinese New Year's Eve Dinner 80101 Fewer than 40 sets occupy this number range. The sets designed primarily for the Asian market begin at 80000, presumably because 8 is a lucky number in China. There a few oddities at 81xxx, and Power Functions/Powered Up accessories at 88xxx. 1. 80000-80999Asian 2. 81000-81099Forma, experiments 3. 88000-88099PF/ ...

This series was unused until this month, when two re-released Ideas sets were given odd numbers in it, reportedly one of which is the birthday of the Ideas project submitter. 1. 92000-92999Re-released Ideas sets

It's clear that someone, or some department, in the company started out with a plan for allocating 5-digit numbers but it seems to have been lost somewhere and has not been adhered to. Consequently, less than 8 years after the widespread use of them, the series has already become messy. Part of the problem could be that some blocks of numbers are a...

  2. Feb 7, 2022 · Step 2: Pack Em Tight, Stack Em Tall! Usually, for LEGO storage, you might sort by colour or piece. But what we are looking to achieve here, is as many sets in as little space as possible. It’s all about efficiency. First of all, the type of containers. Remember, this is for long term storage. So we want to protect the LEGO as much as possible.

  3. Yes, also common that larger sets have multiple bags with the same number as well. I think every large set I've ever purchased has had this quirk. I remember asking about it years ago, but no one really knew why it was done this way. I am guessing its because they are sorted in different facilities and then they are sent to a place for assembly.

  4. Only open the bags you need for each step, and always triple check the bag before you throw it away. Once in about 25 years and 700+ sets. You're probably just losing them, lol. In the last 6 months, I've had 4 sets missing a piece, and another set missing an entire bag of parts.

  5. From what I know there are multiple ways LEGO bags the pieces. For numbered bags there are usually two types: Big Bags - white stripe with one number, usually smaller unnumbered bags inside (1-3) Medium/Small bags - big numbers with a white border, medium sometimes with small bags inside (1-2) Edit: Your No. 5 would be a big bag and No. 4 medium.

  7. Dec 29, 2022 · After stating in 2020 that paper bags would replace plastic ones and later confirming that the transition would occur in 2022, it appears they are starting to arrive in 2023 sets. Like many sets, 75579 Payakan the Tulkun & Crabsuit contains some bigger elements and those are stored outside the usual numbered bags.
