  3. Why is it Twitch streamers are so private about their names/identities? Question. Of course internet safety is a thing, but compared to youtube when most of the top content creators are known by name, Twitch seems to mostly stick with aliases, even when real names are known.

  5. I've been on twitch since before twitch. Names don't usually become available unless there is a major platform change (amazon buys twitch). It also seems to depend on why the account was banned / deleted. Also partners can work with their twitch contacts to get some names released early.
