May 26, 2018 · Late in the Genesis' life, Sega came up with a technology similar to the SNES' Super FX chip that gave the system the ability to produce rudimentary 3D polygons. The only game that ever used the impressive tech was the Genesis version of Virtua Racing -- and that, too, debuted on store shelves for 100 big ones.
I loved the Sega Genesis! It had so many attachments. I remember having the Sega CD, Genesis stacked on top, then you put on the 32x adapter, and finally top it off with the Sega channel adapter which Sega channel was far ahead of it's time. Game streaming in the early '90's had it's limits although completely awesome!
