This chapter begins with an overview of previous literature on assessment of 21st century skills, then discusses the use of assessments in a variety of research studies conducted by the authors, and proposes an evidence-based approach for assessing different aspects of 21st century skills.
An inquiry notebook is a collection of student work showcasing the progressive development of higher-order thinking skills over a period of time. Using the target language, learners are asked to think deeply by responding to. a prompt provided by the instructor.
