OP characters are bad in shows where the point is to watch them grow and battle, and claw their way up to the top, the main reason why you'd watch Overlord isn't that, it's WorldBuilding, and what-ifs, and character development, all of which aren't actually impeded by the MC being OP, but are enhanced.
While they appear to be docile and safe, you make sure they don't get any closer. You can make out enormous creatures, fluffy creatures, and what you think might be sliding creatures of some sort. You can feel your excitement rising as you're about to set upon the adventure of a lifetime.
