Fireheart is so much more friendly to and trusting of all the other females in his life: Spottedleaf, Yellowfang, Cinderpelt, Princess, Bluestar and even Mistyfoot. And sometimes he has more heartfelt passing conversations with Brindleface than he does with Sandstorm. It takes him a ridiculous amount of time to start confiding in Sandstorm.
First mentioned on Firestar's page, Sandstorm is said to be the cat that Firestar, then Fireheart, grew close to after the death of Spottedleaf during a ShadowClan attack on ThunderClan's camp. Soon after he became Firestar, leader of ThunderClan, Sandstorm gave birth to Leafkit and Squirrelkit, their daughters.
Fireheart goes to Cinderpelt about it, and she promises to do so, after making the journey to the Moonstone to become a full medicine cat. Fireheart and Sandstorm hunt near the Treecut place. They don't find any prey, and if there was any to begin with, it was scared away by Fireheart's sister Princess shouting his name.
