Yes Opera got installed on my computer without me even knowing. My strong doubt is that it came along with a memory cleaner that I downloaded. It didn't go so far as to install itself, but I just had Opera GX download itself off a pop-up.

A workaround/solution is easy: Resize your current resolution at home. This will bring all open programs onto the single screen. Then change back to the desired resolution. In the last version (s) of Opera it began opening all my Opera windows when I start Opera from my taskbar (after I started my computer). I use Win 10. My Opera has auto update in settings, so I don't know exactly the version opera started doing this.
