I’m from Elmira but been living in Maryland for 20 years. Now when I go back home to visit I realize all the beauty the area has to offer that I took for granted… not really Elmira necessarily but to each their own. If you’re into historic homes/architecture the homes on Maple Ave are worth checking out.
If you go to Elmira there are some good neighborhoods and some bad ones. West Elmira has some better neighborhoods, but the Southside kinda sucks all over. Stay away from Spaulding and Grey ST, they are both filled with meth factories.
