It's still a difficult school, but no longer an outlier. Probably on the same level of difficulty as MIT/Columbia. At the other Ivy League style schools you can get by with a lot of bull. But UChicago is the real deal, and you need to work hard, have a good calendar to accomplish work, and get sufficient sleep.
