Hermione Granger is my favorite Harry Potter character. I love to read well written fan-fics that have a pretty good plot. I tend to go towards fics that are longer, rather than one shots. I like her with a variety of characters: mainly Draco, Fred, Severus, Cedric and a few others.
But just like you have fics that give Harry ridiculous powers, multiple wives, 5 lordships and enough money to buy voldemort's soul from his own hands, there are fics that paint Hermione in a good light or make her better than she is in canon.

Mar 1, 2024 · Are the characters in ‘Manacled’ the same as the characters in the Harry Potter series? Yes and no, as with most fanfiction. I think SenLinYu does a pretty solid job with writing in Hermione’s voice, though given how drastically different the content of this fic is compared to the original series, it’s easy to blame inconsistencies in her character on her new surroundings.
