There is no hint of the notion of seeking in this passage. Rather, in this passage, the meaning of a life – denote it with L – is “how the whole realm of value looks from there”. 32 Nozick (1981), p. 611 (emphasis added). The meaning is L’s “place in a wider context of value” that is “beyond [L’s] limits”.
