Jun 5, 2016 · The problem I wish to resolve is that at the end of some lines the document jumps to the next page. There is no page or section break inserted and no obvious reason for the spontaneous jump to the next page. Section breaks are set to 'continuous' and paragraph formatting has widow/orphan control and keep with next options checked.
This has happened multiple times in this document. There are huge gaps between the beginning of the page and the paragraph. There aren't any spaces or formatting in the blank area. I also tried unchecking widow/orphan control, keep with next, keep lines together, and page break before in the paragraph dialog box, but nothing is working.
Apr 14, 2022 · You can also press Shift + F10 to access the context menu and then press P for Paragraph. The Paragraph dialog box appears. Select the Line and Page breaks tab. Word displays options to keep the lines of the paragraph together or to keep the paragraph with the next paragraph. Check Keep lines together. Click OK.
May 11, 2019 · To minimize that further, put your cursor in that space, press Ctrl + A, and change the line spacing to single (with no space before/after paragraphs) and the point size to 1 (you will need to enter the 1 manually). Also make sure the line spacing is single-spaced with no space before or after paragraphs.

Jun 1, 2016 · On the Paragraph dialog box, click the “Line and Page Breaks” tab and then check the “Keep lines together” box in the Pagination section. Click “OK”. The whole paragraph moves to the next page. This setting only applies to the current selected paragraph (whether the paragraph is highlighted or you’ve just placed the cursor in it).
