Jul 9, 2016 · I use my TV (Panasonic Viera) as a monitor, with the resolution being 1920 x 1080. When I upgraded to Windows 10, the edges of the screen became cut off. Prior to upgrading, the display settings box would list the monitor as "Panasonic Viera", but now it says "Generic PnP".

Overscaling, also referred to as overscanning, is when a computer’s display renders outside of the viewable area of a monitor or TV screen. It’s like having the outer edges of a photo partially covered by a picture frame due to the picture being too large.
A simple miscommunication between the Windows 10 computer and the connected display usually causes overscan. Aug 5, 2018 · Windows 10 Settings > System > Display. In the resolution box it should say 1366 x 768 (Recommended), if not scroll down the box and select that. In the Scale box put 100% (Recommended).
