Jun 11, 2019 · I am seeing the same behavior. I tried adjusting mouse controls in case I was double-clicking to make Chrome go full-screen, but that didn't change anything. It definitely happens when I just single-click the Chrome bar, which is annoying.
Apr 8, 2021 · Opera gets stuck in full screen because there is no context menu to exit, and F11 does not work, nor does Escape. Opera is not following Windows standards, and possible bug (or incompetent design decision) prevents context menu from offering exit out of full screen. Work-around until Opera fixes the bug: Try to get to the 'Settings' page.
Mar 14, 2018 · Opera in "Full Screen" is different than an individual page in full screen. The menu bar at the top disappears and there is no pathway back to other applications, let alone other open windows in Opera. All which appear are the tabs on the one selected (full screen window). Getting OUT of full screen proved to be easy... once I discovered it.
If that doesn't work, while Opera is closed, rename the "sessions" folder in the profile folder. If that doesn't work, goto the URL opera://about and take note of the "install" path. Then, close Opera, go to the install folder and launch launcher.exe directly to rule out problems with your Opera shortcuts.
