Oct 2, 2023 · But Opera keeps becoming the default browser somehow. It happened a week ago and I uninstalled and re-installed. For a few days after installing, Chrome was the default browser and everything worked fine. I just realized that my web links suddenly started opening in Opera. Default browser in Windows settings has changed somehow.

Ctrl+T works only 99% of the time . It usually doesn't work after a major update in chrome. This is why session buddy is important . It is an extension in chrome. SO you basically have a file which you can periodically save and then you can just upload it again if even session buddy gets corrupted. Good video on proper use of session buddy
hi everyone I have a msi laptop with i7 7700hq CPU,16gb ram and gtx1070 gpu. I have 76.0.4017.94 latest version installed. the problem is opera running really slow and laggy,especially in youtube and facebook pages. while I was watching a video on youtube, when I move the mouse on the video time bar, it's really lagging and at some pages it ramps up the cpu to %100 usage and fans ramp up too.

A google search says there is a "check if Opera is default browser on startup" option, but that is an old answer and the settings page no longer looks like that. Windows 7, Opera version 54.0.2952.64, which is current.
