If you're using Opera GX and have background music turned on, make sure to disable "Dynamic audio visualiser". Also, make sure you're not using Razor Chroma stuff as that uses extra resources. Make sure VPN is turned off. Enabling VPN makes the browser super laggy.

But lately there's a strange behavior where the normal Opera looks like it uninstalled itself, its icon somehow missing from start menu & taskbar, and I can't search for normal Opera on Windows 10 search.
Aug 16, 2015 · After recent updates in windows 10 , i am facing problem in using chrome and opera. whenever i open it i cant use anything else. I cant click anything on the task bar. as soon as i close this browser everything works fine. i restored my PC to time just before the update and everything was working fine.
andori1. •. idk what you're talking, all opera does is change the user-agent. floorp has a sidebar too and you can change the useragent for the sidebar too which won't take you to "a half baked instagram". (and the only browser that takes you to a new tab is brave but that's just because it sucks)
