Oct 31, 2014 · Hi, the folder C:\Users (myname)\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable\File System takes up around 5 GB. Is there a way to reduce this? I'm running low on hard drive space.
With Opera closed, delete everything in "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\temp" and "C:\Windows\temp" that you can. Then, delete the .opera folder again.
Jan 18, 2022 · Using Revo Uninstaller, uninstall the Opera Browser completely and run the Advance Uninstall afterward (from Revo Uninstaller). It will allow you to deep clean/delete all files, folders, and leftovers. Then use C Cleaner to clean junk registeries. I hope it will solve your problem.
Yes Opera got installed on my computer without me even knowing. My strong doubt is that it came along with a memory cleaner that I downloaded. It didn't go so far as to install itself, but I just had Opera GX download itself off a pop-up.
Open up the Windows Task Manager and make sure there are no Opera or Opera Assistant processes running. Then, in file explorer, goto "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\temp", select all files any folders there and delete the selection. That should get rid of any ".opera" folders that are there and any other Opera folders.

Mar 12, 2021 · Even though you just installed Opera GX on the new setup, uninstall it and reinstall it just to make sure there that none of its program files are corrupted. You can also try renaming Opera's profile folder while Opera is close to test with a new profile just to see if the problem goes away.
