Within Temptation might get lumped in now and then via association with Nightwish due to them having strong symphonic elements to their music. Megadeth is a new one to me, though. Basically, I'd say power metal is typically fast paced melodic metal with soaring, clean vocals and an anthemic chorus.
Manowar generally plays a mix of epic heavy/doom and United States power metal. They're not exactly a typical power metal band (they're not even a typical USPM band), but they definitely count. Dio played a mix of traditional British-style heavy metal and American-style epic heavy metal.
