On first glance it resembles the Empyrean and ELITE headphone but there are some refined differences. The headband system still is the same one and it has the carbon frame and leather headband.

Dec 6, 2023 · The key difference is the post-bass drop on the Empyrean II curve from 300hz up to 1k which is more significant than the first Empyrean. That will reduce bass warmth bleed and significantly more so than the original helping to create a bit more separation and space in the subsequent mids performance.
Dec 6, 2023 · Since then, we have seen the launch of the Elite surpassing the Empyrean as the flagship headphone in the company’s line-up, a position it holds to this day. Thus, the launch of the new Empyrean II should be seen as a direct replacement for the original and not above the Elite.

Jan 16, 2024 · Before returning the Empyrean II headphones, I did try them in my Macbook, by changing to the 3.5mm cable which, at just 1.3m long, is sensibly shorter. I was pleased with the sound although the output stage of this PC is clearly not of audiophile quality. Nevertheless, there was a smooth and natural sound created with a slight warmth to the tone.
