The Mk2 (SW20) Toyota MR2 got nicknamed “baby Ferrari” back then because it shared design elements of the more expensive Italian sports cars, specifically the Ferrari 348 and 308 GTB/GTS. Even so, the Mk2 MR2 stuck to its founding philosophy of efficiency and fun-to-drive handling.
