There is an armor stand datapack, used on hermitcraft which allows you to rotate and use items on armor stands in positions that would never be possible in regular Minecraft, so OP made use of it to create a hammer :)
ZombieCleo did an really good video on it! Basically in Java you can download a data pack from the vanilla website and then you can get a book and you can manipulate the armorstands with that book. ( can’t link for some reason but then we do it like this : https://youtu.be/nV9-_RacnoI )
