In 2024, Virgin TV rivals Sky's TV service both in terms of quality and quantity of content, with the added bonus that you won't need a satellite dish. On the other hand there are some channels you won't be able to get with Virgin TV, and you cannot take it out without Virgin Media Broadband.

If it matters to you though, when we try to stream Sens games via Bell Fibe, it'll give us blackout restrictions despite us being geographically in Ottawa. Got TV and Internet from Virgin back in December and have had no issues whatsoever. Compare that to the same set up with Teksavvy where we had issues once a week.

Any Virgin Media broadband deal of 125Mbps or so would adequately serve a household streaming movies, gaming, or doing some good old-fashioned surfing – in moderation. That said, if you're a really intensive-use household we'd definitely recommend you consider their higher speed packages.

Jun 7, 2023 · Virgin Media vs Sky. Sky is Virgin Media’s main rival, offering comparable broadband-phone-TV-mobile packages with similarly up-to-the-minute tech. Broadband-wise, Virgin Media’s speeds blow Sky’s out of the water. Of course, you’d hardly be disappointed with Sky broadband – even its slower package has average download speeds of 61Mbps.
