Oct 19, 2024 · The black screen with apps can sometimes happen due to an HDMI cable issue, but that generally only shows up on netflix, Prime or Disney+ so I don't think that's related to your issue, however it wouldn't harm to double check that the HDMI cable is seated properly, and maybe try a different HDMI cable or port on the TV.
