I'd read all, then watch all, then re-read all. Movies 1 and 2 are very close to the source, but after those the movies start to have more and more changes and stuff left behind, it's frustrating. But also, they tend to leave a lot of misconceptions in people's heads.

Everyone’s saying read all the books first, but I don’t think they went through the entire post. Since reading is not a big appeal for you, I can understand being interested in watching the films. To answer your question, you can watch the first film without being spoiled for the 2nd book.
