Some manufacturers add a bit for the hitch weight, hence my 16' tilting deck with 2 7k axles being rated at 14,500lbs. You really need to spend a fair bit of time reading this forum.

Locally I have access to two dealers, a Trailersplus, and another selling Leonard Trailers. I'm looking at a 7x18 10000# GVWR trailer. Prices are between $2900 for the Leonard or $3400 at Trailersplus.

Trailersplus only allows their shops to work on the trailer and will not send the part I need to get the trailer repaired. The locations I have been trying to work with have tried to be as helpful as possible, but the coorporate office or wherever they manufacture the trailers has ridiculous restrictions and are leaving me no help getting my trailer fixed.
