Jan 5, 2024 · The preservation of local Black history was a lifelong dream of Howard Sheffield, founder of Sheffield Park Black History & Cultural Museum. Today his vision is carried on by his nieces Carolynn and Sylvia Wilson—direct descendants of early Black settlers in Southern Georgian Bay.
Feb 17, 2023 · Your journey begins in our African Beginnings building, which introduces visitors to the pharaohs, kings and queens who were the instigators of knowledge, astronomy, medicine and so much more. The village depicts a typical hut, market place and the skills of the local artisans, musicians and warriors.
