Atari was massively popular. The 2600 was sold from 1977 to 1992. It has the longest lifespan of any console. It also sold over 30 million units worldwide, making it the 10th most successful console in history. It outsold the original Xbox and the N64. Pong isn't really an Atari 2600 game.

Atari 2600 Pac-Man was disappointing in many ways but, still played decent enough and had some charm in it's own right. It's like one of those obscure, "Not-so-classic, classic" songs that never made the charts or film soundtracks or anything.

Nov 22, 2023 · The hot swap works exactly as it sounds too. The 2600+ detects when you have a game in the console. If you pull it out while powered on, it will blank out and then go to game load failed. Pop in a different game and a second or two later, it will show game loading and the game will appear on the screen.
