  1. Pong isn't really an Atari 2600 game. They did sell a version of it, but Pong is from 1975. Atari released it as a stand alone console. That's why similar machines are called "pongs," because they only play simple built-in games. If you're lost on what to do I strongly suggest reading the manual.
