The Athenaeum Library (Melbourne) is on the first floor at 188 Collins Street. It's above the Athenaeum Theatre and accessible by a broad staircase or an elderly lift (elevator). It's a genuinely old-fashioned timber-panelled place full of book shelving. The point of difference is that this is a long-established subscription library.

Sometimes I went home, sometimes they went home. Suffice it to say, I’ve had more than a few. Each one varies, some were great and turned in to 2 or 3 time stands and some were exactly a one night stand. They were always pretty fun though and make for some good stories. I'm glad they were good experiences!
Howard Athenaeum. The Howard Athenæum (1845–1953), also known as Old Howard Theatre, in Boston, Massachusetts, was one of the most famous theaters in Boston history.
