An epic period fantasy series with a modern sensibility set in an enchanted land of breathtaking beauty, “Willow” features a diverse international cast with Jonathan Kasdan, Ron Howard, Wendy Mericle, Kathleen Kennedy, and Michelle Rejwan serving as executive producers.
The plot is bland and disjointed. The pacing is all over the place with very little sense of continuity or logical rhythm from scene to scene. The tone is more like a modern teen drama than it is a classic fantasy. The reveal of the iconic characters from the original is done in the least interesting way imaginable.
