Aug 5, 2019 · - The links for the 24/7 news France 24 and main feed of ABC News Live appear to have become discontinued. Their new live feeds appear to be locked behind session tokens, which are not stable here. :-( However, I did locate an old list of France 24 feeds that do work and I have updated my master list with them.
Aug 24, 2021 · The Globe and Mail has good in depth stuff. Mostly leans Red Tory-ish so it isn't too far from Centrist. CBC, Radio Canada, Global, Le Devoir, sometimes CTV with add-on from BBC, The Guardian, and other international outlets. And the local county independent newspaper for the local reporting. The Canadian Press.

As for TV news--I regularly tune into newsworld, ctv news channel, global, ctv and cbc. IMO, very rarely is there a different noticeable bias. All these networks have a similar bent. I love cbc radio. Both 1 and 2. But then living on the east coast--local radio leaves much to be desired. Love their music streams. I use them a lot.
Jul 9, 2018 · Posts: 36,451. CBC is all social justice all the time. CTV tends to be more balanced, and in the Maritimes, gives good regional coverage. Global has a minimal presence in the Maritimes (news program for the Maritimes is based out of Toronto), but I find the Global National News to be surprisingly good.
Twitter has a distinct tag for public funding. Apparently this "Government-funded Media" tag is defined as "government-funded media may have varying degrees of government involvement over editorial content." Public funding would be independent but financed through i.e. taxes.

the ivory tower owners of these news organizations arent micromanaging every new story to make sure it has a specific bent. for example if they are covering a story about guns the cbc might give the anti-gun person an extra 3 minutes of speaking time over the other side. thats the kind of subtle bias most people talk about

Nov 17, 2016 · Fuck the CBC. I listen to them on the radio a few minutes a day on my commute. There is nothing more infuriating than their 'balanced' news and discussion. To think their reach spans the entire country, 24/7 blasting their propaganda designed to make Canadians unknowingly hate themselves. I love how they ripped off the name of Anthony Bourdain ...
