Feb 3, 2023 · RONA inc., a leading Canadian home improvement retailer, has bought Lowe's Canada from Lowe's Companies and will convert its stores to the RONA banner. All Lowe's stores in Canada remain open and will continue to offer Lowe's private brands, financing plans, warranties and gift cards.
Lowe's Canada was the Canadian subsidiary of American home improvement chain Lowe's, founded in 2007 and acquired Rona in 2016. In 2023, it was sold to Sycamore Partners and converted to Rona+, with some stores closed.
