Sep 9, 2023 · I then restarted into the safe mode, and uninstalled Nvidia drivers using DDU which fixed the issue temporarily but after installing the GPU driver (any version) the screen went black again. So, the main crux is whenever I install Nvidia drivers, the screen goes black and on every restart, I see the Windows loading screen and then black.
Feb 21, 2018 · The nVidia installer will want to expand the installation files into a C:\nVidia folder. Not in Program Files (x86). But you can direct the installer to expand the files anywhere (Custom Install option). I have my nVidia folder on my partition D: which is on a spinning hard disk.
