Feb 19, 2023 · I was using the Simplii financial bank, till for no reason they blocked my Debt / Credit card, restricted my account. I have been trying to reach out to the customer service for days, forget about it, I'm writing a letter to the headquarter address. Once I get my money back, I'll immediately leave such Ghost bank.

Dec 2, 2022 · If you need to withdraw 1000 a day and you want to stick with Simplii's offerings, your options for the first 6 months are 1) to withdraw over 2 or more days, or 2) to call in and request a temporary limit increase (lasts a few hours, so plan your calls accordingly) every time to need to withdraw larger sums of money.
The preferred debit card for foreign ATM withdrawals is the Tangerine debit card (no-fee chequing account) anyway, since they only charge you $2, unlike Simplii which charges $3 + 2.5%. In Houston currently and my simplii interac debit card will not work anywhere, with any vendors. ATM's are not a problem.
Mar 1, 2024 · How does Simplii Financial pay out monthly interest from their HISA? I'm currently on the 5.5% promo that ends March 31st. The monthly interest was added to my account on Feb. 28th but it's way below what it should be for the amount of funds that I have in the Savings Account (which were added Feb. 1st).
Simplii Financial is just a brand name used by CIBC. The Simplii accounts are actually rebranded CIBC accounts. So, another intermediary bank is not needed after the wired funds for a Simplii account reach that Toronto CIBC branch for SWIFT code CIBCCATT.
