  1. Apr 29, 2023 · I find the Spy Who Loved Me to be dull and largely forgettable. I very much have a moment everytime I watch it where I think "wait, have I actually seen this movie before?". It's fine, and it doesn't have any truly catastrophic flaws. But it's probably one of the most skippable Bond films, because there isn't much that interests me about it.

  2. Apr 14, 2013 · The Spy Who Loved Me is the ultimate Bond movie. It's got every component of classic cold war 007, and they're all executed well. They're both great, but I personally thing For Your Eyes Only is a better quality film. I find these films to be Roger Moore's 2 best films, so you'll have a great time no matter which one you go for.

  3. Jan 15, 2022 · The Spy Who Loved Me was a pivotal milestone for the James Bond series. The Man With the Golden Gun had disappointed both critically and financially, and legal problems flourished in the wake of Harry Saltzman's exit from the franchise. With Fleming's novels running out anyway, and Roger Moore still just a pale shadow next to Sean Connery, it's ...

  4. Nov 14, 2021 · Why The Spy Who Loved Me is the best and the definitive Bond movie. Roger Moore’s performance is brilliant and is a strong contender for the best performance in Bond canon. Obviously more common choices are Connery in From Russia With Love, Craig in Casino Royale or even Dalton in Licence To Kill. But Moore’s performance in this 1977 ...

  5. Jun 20, 2020 · The Spy Who Loved Me’ is a melodramatic spy drama about the process of finding my real partner between a divorced ex-husband and a remarried husband. Earlier, Eric and Yoo In-na were reportedly reviewing their appearances.

  6. Jun 29, 2022 · The Spy Who Loved Me (Novel) Review The Spy Who Loved Me (1963) is the tenth book in Ian Fleming’s spy thriller series featuring James Bond, except this one doesn’t feature Bond. Spy is a departure from any approach he ever took before in that it is 1) his initial first person account and one 2) told from the perspective of a woman.

  7. May 30, 2016 · The Spy Who Loved Me represents the peak of the extravagant days of 007. Moonraker would go bigger, yes, but this film represents the limit of what a spy story is versus sci-fi action. This is the movie where Roger Moore's Simon Templar persona works best in the James Bond series.

  8. The cinematography was top notch on the big screen, theatrically speaking I am so blessed to have been able to see this absolute classic. Literally, the shots during all the acts were better than even 1969's OHMSS! I love a film that has great cinematography that doesn't distract the viewer because of it.

  9. Jul 6, 2019 · I simply can't understand why The Spy Who Loved Me is universally praised. I'm watching all of the Bond movies in order, and I was up to The Spy Who Loved Me, so I decided to watch it last night. I watched it a couple years ago, and I remember not being very impressed, but I figured, this time, I would go in with an open mind and a positive outlook because TSWLM is viewed as one of the better ...
