Apr 29, 2023 · I find the Spy Who Loved Me to be dull and largely forgettable. I very much have a moment everytime I watch it where I think "wait, have I actually seen this movie before?". It's fine, and it doesn't have any truly catastrophic flaws. But it's probably one of the most skippable Bond films, because there isn't much that interests me about it.

They're both great, but I personally thing For Your Eyes Only is a better quality film. I find these films to be Roger Moore's 2 best films, so you'll have a great time no matter which one you go for.

May 30, 2016 · The Spy Who Loved Me represents the peak of the extravagant days of 007. Moonraker would go bigger, yes, but this film represents the limit of what a spy story is versus sci-fi action. This is the movie where Roger Moore's Simon Templar persona works best in the James Bond series.
The cinematography was top notch on the big screen, theatrically speaking I am so blessed to have been able to see this absolute classic. Literally, the shots during all the acts were better than even 1969's OHMSS! I love a film that has great cinematography that doesn't distract the viewer because of it.
